How it works
Laser Defense is a turret shooter. Your base is at the center (or bottom) of the screen and enemies descend from the edges toward it. You rotate a turret by moving the mouse (or swiping) and fire a laser by clicking or tapping. Destroying an enemy earns points; letting one reach your base costs you a life.
Enemies approach from multiple angles simultaneously in later waves, requiring quick target prioritization. Fast-moving enemies need to be led slightly -- aim where they are going, not where they are. The game ends when all lives are exhausted.
Laser Defense is a classic arcade shooter format that trains multitasking: tracking several targets at once while managing the firing rate and rotation speed of your turret.
Worked example
Clearing Wave 1
- Start the game and note the turret rotation controls (mouse movement or touch drag).
- Rotate toward the first visible enemy and fire.
- After each shot, check whether a new enemy has appeared on the opposite side.
- Prioritize the enemy that is closest to the base over the one with the highest point value.
- Continue until all Wave 1 enemies are destroyed.
Wave 1 cleared with all lives intact.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Fixating on one enemy and ignoring others that sneak past from an unguarded direction.
- Shooting at enemies that are far away when a faster enemy is much closer to the base.
- Firing without rotating fully to face the target, causing shots to miss and waste the reload window.

- Wave
