How to play

  1. Your hopper bounces automatically on every platform — no jump button needed.
  2. Use ◀/▶ buttons or arrow keys to steer left and right.
  3. Platform gaps widen as you climb higher, so precision matters.
  4. The camera scrolls upward — don't fall off the bottom!
  5. Your best height is tracked — try to beat your record.

The hopper bounces automatically on platforms. Use ◀/▶ to steer left and right. Climb as high as you can without falling!

How it works

Sky Hopper is an endless vertical platform jumper. Your character automatically bounces upward and you steer left or right to land on the next platform. The camera follows the character upward, and falling off the bottom of the visible screen ends the run.

Platforms come in various widths and may be moving horizontally. Some platforms may break after a single landing, so reading the environment quickly is important. Your altitude (or platform count) is your score.

The game rewards spatial anticipation: look two or three platforms ahead rather than just at the one you are about to land on, so you can line up your approach early.

Worked example

Reaching 100 platforms

  1. At the start, keep the character centered and make small left-right adjustments.
  2. Identify moving platforms and track their direction before you reach them.
  3. Aim for wider platforms when you have a choice -- they provide a larger margin for error.
  4. Avoid pausing on a platform; keep moving upward continuously.
  5. Look ahead two platforms to plan your trajectory before you land.

A run that passes the 100-platform milestone with a new personal best.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Staring at the platform directly below and reacting too late to line up the landing.
  • Over-correcting horizontally and overshooting the target platform.
  • Forgetting that screen-wrap exists and not using the edges strategically.
